ppossible new bug?

i just noticed that i can't record any midi notes past the 64 midi notes provided by the MPC. For instance i was recording a bassline from my fantom-s and a couple of the notes went past the playable notes that are possible on the MPC pads wouldn't record. I checked in step edit and it didn't even record the notes.


I don't remember having this problem w/ the old OS.

In step edit u can manually put the notes in but that's too much to go through if what u want to play is pretty complex.

Is there some setting i need to change or a have any of u noticed the same thing?

Try setting the track TYPE to MIDI instead of DRUM.

It was already set to midi. I even tried it set to drum to see if that made a difference. None of my settings have changed since using the old OS.

I believe that I have found the same problems. Some of the most low/high notes will not record. However, when I use the step edit mode to enter these notes..they record just fine....which is your findings as well...bummer

hope that helps, whenever we see a major issue, we should set up an email petition get all of us to add our names and sign it, and then forward it to them, maybe this would get us some faster replies, and bug fixes.

I am an owner of an Akai MPC2500.
I was recently trying to record a midi
part into my MPC when I noticed it wasn't
recieving any very high or very low notes.
all notes past the 64 pad range did not even
appear in the sequence edit mode.
This was not a problem in OS 1.0b.
I was just wondering if you knew about
this bug already or to let you know if
you didn't. I was also wondering when
the next OS would be released and
whether it will fix this issue as it seriously
affects the music I make on my MPC
as I do lots of low bass lines and high
lead lines.
