anyone ever buy parts for their MPC?

wondering if you guys know if it's possible to buy seperate parts for the MPC 2000xl. for example, i'd like to get the black pads, buttons and knobs from the chrome LE model for my stock beige model. maybe the black front clip, also. i think this'd look absolutely sweet. any thoughts?

A guy had posted a while back about talking to someone at Akai and being able to order any part of the MPC, the pads, case, etc. Give Akai USA a call and see what they have to say.
