Serious emergency need help pleeeassee

ok now i installed my zip drive and everything was perfect but a few months ago i started getting occational errors when loading...i payed it no mind...now 90 percent of the time that i try and load up my zip drive i get a pop up that says "Error at 0000:BFF2" ...i just started getting good on the mp and now this happens? can anyone tell me what i can do? is it a sofware or hardware problem? and help will b greatly acpreciated....thanks for your time people

First things first, is this happening with one particular zip or with numerous zips. If your problem is with one zip disk, it's the disk if it's with more than one zip disk it could be something as simple as an O.S. upgrade.
Take care to read the warning labels on your zip disk as well you may be doing something harmful unknowingly.

J just buy a zip today. And I have got the same problem. The zip is working fine in my computer and is 5V powered.
"Error at 0000:BFF2"
I don't know what to do...

I try to chainge the ide cable and redo the power tweak. But nothing always this dark side error. My mpc2000xl os is ver 1.14.

Format fresh zips in the mpc like 3-4 times before you move on and rec on them.

Is the zip in the mpc internal or ex?

Yesterday, I open the mpc2kxl with the 250 mo zip in one hand and a atx psu in the other.
The zip atapi connected on the mpc mainboard. !the atx psu powered the zip.
I turned on the mpc and shift + F3.
And boom
"Error at 0000:BFF2"


Don't know what to do...

Sorry man, I've never had that error.

Call Akai. I was suggest trying another drive, they are pretty cheap. Check your jumper settings too.

Before we go ay further, people need to stop and answer Blaz4me's question:

Until these Zip users answer this, it does little good for anyone to speculate on any resolution.

with all my disks zip this thing happens. Always same error message.
But these disks work perfectly with a scsi 250mo zip.
I don't know what to do, perhaps buy another one.
