Ok..So I have my MPC and triton midi'd..wth do I do now???

I jus need the settings for slaving both...for example,

Somtimes I wanna use the mpc to drive the triton (for beats) WHATS THE SETTINGS???

Somtimes I wanna use the Triton to drive the MPC (for melodies) WHATS THE SETTINGS???

sorry fam, i don't have a triton. but you should be good if you have your midi cables going from the in/out of both.

that's because you are basically asking for a free tutorial on the foundations of MIDI, which is kinda boring to type in for those of us who know...

If you want to use the mpc sequencer/pads to trigger the triton, connect mpc midi out to triton midi in, make a new program on the mpc, select a midi port/channel on the mpc, select a matching midi channel on the triton, and play the pads... hopefully u hear something... then u probably want to edit the 'midi note assignment' for your mpc program.

Then look into how to configure the triton for 'multitimbral' performance.

to do the other way just reverse the concept

trust me. you are better off learning it on your own. it doesnt take too long to read. even if somebody told you how to do it, you should have the manual next to you anyway.

I have a triton too but I dont feel like doing the tutorial.

follow it step by step and you will be set.

which one you have (Triton le,Extreme)? basically the setup is !


1. 2-midi cables/ MPC A-out to Triton in,and Triton out to MPC in.

2. Go to Global control-System Preference.Setting should be

Bank Map--------------Korg

Power on mode: ------Memorize

System Clock----------Internal-------- leave along! .

While Global button is on, hit menu. Then hit Midi P1------ this is where
midi setup is located.

1. Midi Channel-------------- 1 checkmark Local on

2. convert Position check it. note receive All

3. Midi Clock---------------Internal -------External Midi
External USB

check receive realtime commands.

Midi Filters

check everything and leave it.
