Do ya'll really really use the swing option on ur mpc?
I personally can say that I've tried but I never get it how I want.,.,So i'll result to messing with the pitch of a kik, snare or whatever I'm puttin swing on.,., can i get an amen here? or do u guys disagree?

why do i get the impression you talk more about your gear then actually use it

try it some more. i didn't use it for a long time and just manually programmed in my hits at different tick notation. now i use it all the time. it's essential for good sounding beats that aren't like that song "cant' do it like me."

To each his own. It's become a regular part of my programming. It just keeps things more interesting to me than having everything at 50%.

Too much can be a bad thing. Sometimes having somethinglike a closed pedal hihat coming in every once in a while a 75% can be dope.

Usually, I don't over do it though. Little bit here, little bit there can really loosen you pattern's up in my opinion.

I swear by swing. I especially love swinging 60% late with the amount changed to 9 on my highhats. shifts em back and makes them sound sick

I barely even use quantize. I just punch buttons and undo sequence until I get to just how I want it. It is more tedious that way but when I rock a live show I know I'll be on point.
