im just thinking... when i get my mpc, can i hook up my active monitors directly to it, or is that not a good idea, and should i buy a small mixer?

oh and what conection is it gonna be for the mpc, .. 1/4 jacks?

the mpc has 1/4" jacks, yes

you can connect your monitors to your mpc, yes.

question...

how many pieces of hardware do you have? a mixer is needed if your working with more then one piece of gear. but if all you have in an mpc, then yea you can go directly to your monitors.

well i dont even have an mpc yet, but will have one soon, and i'l prob run the sound through my emu soundcard.

well what kind of mpc you getting? because i just read in another thread that you cant run the mpc 60 directly into your monitors. im not sure why the 60 wont let you do that, so i hope im telling you the right info....

so you have a computer in your setup? what kind of monitors do you have, btw?

im gonna get an mpc1000, my monitors are wak, m audio bx5, but im getting the blue sky media desk so it will be a nice setup. :D

yeh, they are active, i wouldnt buss passives man.
