dont know if this is new to me or what, but i just found out that i can play vinyls with my fingernail. some crazy sh*t lol.

try it, its quite a phenomenon (i think). just put your fingernail in line with the grooves and lightly press down and hold your hand still. then put your ear up next to your finger and you can hear the music.

just had to share my new discovery

records are recorded vibrations in the vinyl gruv and the needle picks up the vibration and transmitts it to an amplifeid source being the stylus and thats how you get sound from vinyl reocrds.

You guys remember that show 3-2-1 Contact? I remember one time they took a styrofoam cup, poked a cactus needle through the bottom of the cup, and held it to a spinning record... you could actually hear it pretty good...

You can play records with a microphone

Take some old wack record that you wont use anymore
Put it on your turntable and start the platter
Press the microphone AGAINST the rotating record

It will **** up your record, but it definately works.
