Sampling vocal parts

I'm looking for vocals to use in a hook an ive been through a fair amount of soul rock and other genres of music and have found any vocals which have been panned so i'm wondering is there a specific time era in which alot of producers were panning vocals E.G the 50's ive been through alot of stuff from the 70's and 80's and haven't heard alot maybe one or two songs.

sounds like you know what you're after. Why dig through an azz load of samples to just find something that pans. Pan that jont yourself. Can't find the sample then find someone who can sing it, and pan them.

try mono recordings thats your best bet,
