Has anyone seen the full tutorial dvds Sample Kings offer? There are 3 dvds each costing $40 bucks. I wonder if it's worth it? If anyone wants to go in on these with me hit me up at [email protected].

I can't imagine that it's worth the cost. I hadn't used a MPC in my life until 3 weeks ago. Now I feel like I can easily control everything the 2500 is capable of. There may be a few little tricks that I haven't picked up yet, but I am sure I will eventually just by experimentation and snooping around this forum. The manual is pretty good, too. Just my opinion. Peace.

True. But there are always little tips and tricks that the manual doesn't cover. I figured it might be worth it. I won't buy though until someone here can vouch for it.

why would you buy this machine if you dont want to take the time to learn it on your own its more gratifying to learn your self,

just an idea

I'm not against buying such DVD's, they help you to dive right in. What you can learn in 3 weeks of experimentation can be learned in a day or 2 of solid instruction. It's up to the user if they want to spend the time or the money.

did anyone one else notice how small the 2500's manual was campared to the 2000xl's? the 2500 is very straight forward which makes it really easy to get around on and i'm not sure if a dvd can show you anything that you can't learn on these forums. take that $40 and go digging.

I have the DVD 1&2 from sample kings. Part 3 wasn't finished yet when ordered. as a matter of fact, Doc called me to get feedback. I thought they were cool. Doc is funny as hell. Plus he deals directly with AKAI Japan. But I've never used any MPC much cause I never sample. Just adding a new tool to the studio. Like one poster said, DVD's are good if you need to learn fast or hate reading a manual. Plus some manual suck big time(motif es). you'll still need the manual for quick reference every now and then.

nah man throw them a dingy, they only show you the very basics, the stuff you pick up yourself on the first week or 2, aint worth the dough though, theres afew o.k bits and peices on the c.f you get with the producers package, but i will be sampling straight from my vaults of vinyl , and who the **** needs uzi and machine gun noises when your from scotland !!!! plus i emailed sample kings about 10 times to find out if the dvds were compatible in other countrys and got no reply, had to go baw deep and order to find out.

nice 1
