first of all with OS.2.1 can u sample the ins and main outs at the same time?

does it have audio thru ?

might switch from 4000 to 1000 if it has those 2 functions

it has "input thru" and as far as sampling, one source at a time.

but you can easily download the manual from akai's site

i think it only does one because it's a sampler and not a hard disk recorder. are there any samplers that can record more than one input at once? not having a go, i'd like to know if there are/were any!

no, all samplers are single source recording only.

Ensoniq ASR-X lets you sample main outs + inputs at same time. Will check my RS7000 too (don't think that does - not used it for a while.)
