hey ya'll...i got a doozy
i just recently turned on my mpc for regular usage and all of a sudden the pads quit workin. better yet when i opened up the smapler window, she seems to be sampling into her self cause the meter is pegging out without any kind of sound source attached. i tried rebooting the os with my start up disc, but alas it is not her o.s causin the prob. this recently happened after i bought and reinstalled a replacement 8 outs for my 2kxl. i asked a couple of my friends what was up and the only thing we could possibly think of is a)something got physically fried in the mommy board b) a chip is fried in the signal input circuit c)i'm just plain phuct. i've been faithful to the xl for almost 7 years, this is the first problem i couldn't solve on my own...hell it brought me signing on to your forum cause one of my boys said you sharp fellers here could possibly help me out...help please, i am desperate...and going through the site you seem like a chill informed forum.
any kind of help would be greatly appreciated

^^^Werd^^^ whenever you cant get something to work after an upgrade, take out the upgrade and recheck it. PC's, MPCs, cell phones, whatever. Hope its just the 8 outs.

yeah i did the whole nine guys. i even tried putting my 8 outs and my zip drive in my other friends 2kxl and it worked fine. i'm pretty sure now i fried something muy importante, but hey if you got any leads to where i could maybe take it in for service that would be tha shizznit...looks like i'm about to learn and upgrade the 1k. thanks ya'll

if it worked fine in someone elses joint then big chances are it's your mpc.
Sorry to tell you that but it may be that..

hit up vsthomey. check tha banner at the top of the page^for info. but yeha they can fix that shit. but who knows what they'll charge. but if you've had it for 7 years have them fix it and stay loyal. peace
