wheres the best place in the u.k to buy the

128 internal memory for the mpc 2500 and is there a specific type or model/ item number
also struggling to find a place to buy a compatible cd drive for it,
some dude hook me up with some website addresses or summit .

As for the cd drive, i think only the official CD-M25 works and the best price i've found in the UK is £150, although i haven't tried bartering with anyone yet

if you wanna be on the safe side then for the ram you need the official akai 128mb ram for either mpc 1000 or 2500 the model number is AKAI EXM128 and the sites for em are turnkey.co.uk or dv247.com or search dolphin music, theres loads of uk sites that do it and if ur in London then u can pick it up at turnkey. It costs about 99 pounds.

don no much about the cd drive, but my advice is best get the official one to be sure it works, just search the product name in google.co.uk under UK search.

schweeet thats my 128mb card ordered, just gotta get my cd rom and thats the bad boy maxed out !!!!

well as you're on a spending spree you may as well get a hard drive too! I got one last week and it's so much better than having to mess with the CF cards all the time.

Plus you can get a 40gb hard drive for roughly the same price as a 1gb CF card

Most computer shops will stock them, it uses a 2.5" laptop hard drive.

I got mine from a small computer shop but PC World stocks them. Got an 80gb for mine, a little excessive but it's nice to know i wont be upgrding for a long long time!

Plus it allows me to load in whole records and chop them as and when i please.

Mine is a 80gb Fujitsu MHV2080 but from reading the thread in the 1000 forum, it seems pretty much any 2.5" laptop drive will work
