Hey - yeah, I have serial #012 :)

Yes, I did get the replacement processor - apparently there were a few faulty processors in the first batch (tho not many); the firmware you can upgrade yourself over USB. I have no idea if mine was faulty or not, I replaced it just in case before I even finished building the kit. :)

The instructions were pretty dead simple, IMHO... at least, way more so than any other kit I've built! Still, it is a long kit to build...

been thinkin about getting one of those since i've come to miss my old 303.
how long did the assembly take you?

Well, I thought I was ahead of the game, it took me about 8 hours to get it together (I've done a bunch of kits and mods before), but then there were a few bits that I screwed up and had to hunt down... overall, I'd say it took about 14 hours to get it all together and working.

I dunno how much difference the BA662 chip makes, but I put one in anyway, ripped it out of an old Boss HC-2 Handclapper pedal. I'm *very* happy with the sound tho, and there's a bunch of people working on the (opensourced) OS, adding new features like pattern copy, pattern shift, swing, etc... it's already a pretty great little box, but it's still getting better. :)

yeah! it got the great specs...... the swing and the USB usee all worth it.... and 14 ours.... man that's nothin... i was inside my old 303 and did som repatching to my modular.... and it looked far too advaced than 14 ours of work for me.,.. well... if you built it in 14 i might make it in 28... the xoxbox is the only clone that IS the original sound.. tried them all... this is the one.... i'm signing up for one right now!!! good looking out.... liked your video promo as well.... PM commin right up
