You have alot of stuff but that is nothing I have never seen before as a gear junkie myself. I can easily pick those things up with my income tax return......

True..its not about having money or not on many things...but for the MPC 1000..yes. I would only consider it if I was trying to cut costs. With all the MIDI gear you have, the 2500 would benefit you more in a studio. Taking an MPC to the beach?? That sounds really nerdy if I say so myself. I would spend that time lookin at some azz

My arms a big enough to carry the 60 around in a flight case so you will hear no complaints from me. But to call the 2500 a waste of money because you are in love with Akai's attempt to put a choke hold on the bedroom producer market?? The MPC 1000 is a cute toy. Eventually 1000s users will move onto a 2500. If I was still hustling...I would have just sold you a 2500 for the price of a 1000 to win you over and end the debate :P

Actually, I am going to leave the MPC 1000 alone and not post anything negative (telling the truth about it) in the MPC 1000 forum. But it will be fair game in this section

If you say so, but I hope you wouldn't unless you had a use for them. The 2500 is just a bigger toy with a couple of more bells for another grand.

My laptop, usb cable and 1000 both sitting nice and snug in one nice small bag can kick the crap out of a 2500 in the same hands.

Its not about money, its about convenience *to me.* If the pads break down, I'll buy another, no big deal. And I am pretty sure I can live without 2 extra sliders on the machine or a better transient detector expecially given my use with a laptop.

I need not spend more money for less convenience based on specs and ego.

And as I said before, why waste an extra grand on an experiment. I said if I fell in love I would probably get a bigger box, but not necessarily the 2500. The mv-8000 makes the 2500 look even more like a toy.

I've spent time with both machines. If I had different priorities I might have grabbed the 2500. You want to debate that?

This thread's boring now

The 2500 is better and nobody can deny it so let's just leave it at that!

Man...you could have said those things in one post. Did I get your worked up?

What's your point?? You going to take this all to the beach as well? Good luck

I can't really debate what your purchased..because quite frankly, its your choice. But this is the 2500 forum  And taking shots at that cheap excuse for an MPC is entertaining.

Costs..priorities...whatever :P Nothing will change the fact that the MPC 1000 is a cheap toy that breaks if you hit the pads to hard..unless Akai improves the hardware. I don't mind that the 2500 is more expensive. Eveyone doesn't need to own one. That is what the MPC 1000 is for....

You want to debate that?

No, just taking a light break from real work. I live to retort. I agree, this topic is dead.

No more interruptions :) 8)

Besides the fact that it performs like a real MPC?? I can think of a few things..but I am about to watch Days of Our Lives with my daughter. But on the real..been there, done that and wouldn't go back to an MPC 4000 for any reason..even though it is Akai's flagship MPC.

The features that I purchased the MPC 4000 for are in the 2500 now and more. What the MPC 4000 has that the 2500 doesn't...I don't necessarily need. But on the other hand...there are features that the 2500 has MPC 4000 forum members want but may never get. Better yet, the MPC 4000 will most likely be discontinued within the next 1-2 years :P

But..Soprano's are suppose to return Sunday. I use to love that show. I am thinking about ordering HBO just for that show...

Mpc2500 has a phrase sampler
MPC4000 has a full fledge Akai Z-8 Sampler

Mpc2500 needs to be stoped and connected to the PC then unpluged to exit usb mode

Mpc4000 is connected 247 i can open up ak.sys while the seq is playing

Mpc4000 has piano roll and drum grid(like reason)

theres more i can go on.

just like u were telling the mpc1k users the only reason to pick a 2500 over a mpc4000 is cost!!!!

P.S i got my brand new in the box 4000 for 1500 Cheaper then ur mpc2500

the only think the mpc2500 has over the mpc4000 to me is the black case ,

and quit lying to ur self pretending the mpc4000 aint a real mpc lol son slap ur self just cause it aint outdated still using the mpc60 interface doesnt make the mpc4k a fake mpc LMAO ,

u just love lying to ur self on every product u own making up excused on why u dont have a mpc4000 anymore

main point mpc4000 is stepping on ur lil 2500 and u are ashamed to admit it. any mpc2500 owner in this thread would want a mpc4000 better
