Did I strike a nerve? If you are so sick, then get off the internet..or just hang out in the 4000 forum.

If I wanted to purchase a 4000, I can purhcase one right this minute..brand new in a box...at a price that may/may not blow your mind. That's how I get down. I am a grown azz man with paying job :P But it has nothing that I need or really want....

Nope..no 4000 for me because I just don't like it. There is nothing I like about the MPC 4000....been using a 3000 for quite ahwile until the day that the 2500 dropped :P

There is no debating that the MPC 4000 is Akai's flagship MPC and the most expensive. But the price is mos def not the reason why I don't have one (unlike many I suspect). The 2500 is the MPC I wanted ever since the MPC 2000 dropped.

So you got your MPC 4000 for free. I am happy for you. Too bad that it doesn't have the features the 2500 has that you want. Just be satisfied with what you have. Next you will be crying that Akai gave you a buggy OS for your 4000.

Mpc2500 needs to be stoped and connected to the PC then unpluged to exit usb mode

If you are going to be here in the 2500 forum talking about an MPC 4000..at least know what you are talking about or stay up to date.

I seriously doubt that. The new OS coming   Do you mean the one that it will give the MPC 4000 some 2500 features like Chop Shop, patched phrase, continuous sample track/in-track sampling, and audio cd burning..as well as load CD audio tracks?

I will save you some time and to make you feel better. The MPC 4000 is Akai's flagship MPC (although many users are not happy  ). It is the only MPC that has a full fledge sampler and has about much extensive effects, by far, that any other MPC. The memory can be expanded to 512MB and it can load sound librarys from most major formats. It also has phono inputs w. preamps and ADAT capability......Those are pretty much the WOW factors. And even with all those features that no other MPC has...its street value is about the same as the MPC 3000 and 2500

2KXL4life asked in the MPC 4000 section:
Why cant i sample the internal main outs and the analog ins at the same time?

New OS Coming soon!

2KXL4life also wrote in the 4000 section:
yup mpc2500 just got a new OS.with all the features the mpc4000 owners where asking for

:P :P :P

2KXL4life additionally wrote in the 4000 section:
We should all e-mail akai and ask for the new mpc4000 OS.

im sure if akai, numark recieved over a hundred e-mails from mpc4k owners about the new OS, they might jump on the ball!!!!

Man..you are an MPC 4000 newbie and don't know what it can/can't do. You don't even have a clue of what the 2500 can do.

If Akai re-releases the MPC 4000 to make it look like the 2500 as well as add the extra features the 2500 has, I will pick it up immediately (just because) and gladly play over $2000 for it......or I can just wait for the release of the MPC 5000 that will replace it

I am just enjoying my conversations with 2KXL4life. Half of dudes posts are in the forum are in MPC 4000 OS threads. Yet, he claims that he is happy with the MPC 4000. Dude doesn't even know how to use it yet.

More fun. In one thread, he says F presets in sound modules and then talks about buying CD Roms from different libraries to load into the MPC 4000  I guess he doesn't know that is the equiv of a preset as well.

You were one of those catz up in the MV forum talking about how hot it was..now you got an MPC 4000

Yes, the MPC 1000 is poorly built. I don't need to wait a year. I have plenty of experience with music production equipment and can judge quality hardware. No complaints about the 2500 execpt the cheap flash card drive and the thin metal plate on the bottom of the unit.

Now, go and play with your 4000 and keep posting that you wish it has more 2500 features.

PS- I spent more money on my software...yes software DAW than you paid for the 4000. If I wanted one, I would have one.

First..you don't have the knowledge or the funds to diss me.

The MPC 1000 is joke if Akai doesn't re-engineer it so that the pads won't break. No other MPC has had this problem. As far as it being better...the are pretty much indentical in terms of the OS. Akai marketed it as the affordable MPC..not me.

Now you are up in the MPC 4000 forum talking about what the MPC 2500 can/can't do. Yes, the MPC can sample its outputs and analog inputs at the same time. Get a clue before you start posting things you have no knowledge on. Learn your MPC 4000 by spending less time asking for more features. Since you just recently purchased it...and the 2500 has the other features you want, you should have purchased the 2500. You had a choice. You went with the 4000 because you wanted to 'create' your own sounds?? Whatever that means to you :?

What do you have next to say that's incorrect?

And I have owned plenty of MPCs. Moving to an MPC 4000 is not quite that simple. It can be but its not initially. All the other MPCs are practically identical. I know because I have used them all. Now do I have to say it again?? Go learn your MPC 4000 and stop your envy :P
