How do you record Internally on the MPC

hey i heard that you could record internally on your mpc as a wav file instead having to record in protools is this true and if so how do you do it?[/code]

yeah, that's a pretty basic mpc 1000 function - it's in the manual, i think around page 80 or something if i'm not mistaken.

Am i right in sayin you need a jack to jack cable to record from the output to the input though?

nope, just turn the dail until it says "main outs"

ah i see, it kind of threw me off at first as i was expecting to see the level meter move.

I have a problem with this, every time when i record a beat of mine on my mpc (just like it says in the tutorial) i only get a pgm file. I tryed almost everting. Btw i have also 3 jacks, 1 in my phones en 2 in my Stereo out. I also tryed 2 put my jacks in the record in inputs, but my pc wil not detect any sound. I just wanna know a easy cheap way 2 convert a beat into a decent mp3 file. I'm short of money this time, sow i can't affort a decent record box.
