PROGRAM FILES LOST?

i saved all my program files on one big file along with my drum kit.i had a new drum kit somehow get some corrupt files or in this case only one that i can see. i am able to load the seq. and the drum sound one at a time. is there a way for me to pull out the prg files only or are they lost forever. one thing i will start doing is saving the kits like i do now and also saving one by itself on a different directory. save a program and save all program and files.

I guess you mean an APS file

An APS is a file containing PGM information and list of sounds to load from disk.

The APS doesn't contain SND files.

There's a way to "pull" the files if the data off the disk if it is not too corrupt.

The method is called data recovery.

A PGM file contains no SNDS.

An APS file contains no SNDS.

A PGM file contains a list of SND files to load and a whole lot of other information about how they are assigned to pads and such.

An APS contains in essence a list of PGM files to load and also a list of SNDS with which to fill an MPC3000's memory.

Your SND files are not corrupt as such but some how your APS file has got damaged.

Dumping the APS is possible but not for the average end user.

do i have to take it to someone that does that exclusivly. computer guy or some kind of company that does that only datat recovery.

SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY BUT THE ZIP DISC IS TOTALLY CORRUPT. I DOWNLOADED THAT PROGRAM BUT I CAN'T GET THE DANG THING TO WORK. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO I WAS DOING A REMIX AND THE DANM THING CORRUPTED AGAIN.
