playing live

planning to make a soundsystem of my tracks, i wanna make it with my mpc, laptop, fx + mixer......on top of that, an MC .
i'm working with strings (i'm cellist) and drum programing.
just writing to get some advice from people who used the mpc as live instrument. i'm planning to shoot trax/sequences from mpc and use the laptop for general arrangements.....
would appreciate some comments.

thanx S-S very useful too, i'm planning to drop sequences and construct them in order to the mc needs..........colouring with ssome samples and some aditional trax on my powerbook + echo pro delay possibilities. also using the q-link and effects on board to make few changes.......+ what i gotta learn..........
