Hi there,

I've recently been creating my Programs for my 2500 and noticed that the Official Akai programs that came on the SD card are using a different method to how I create them and wondered if some clever sod could shed some light on how they do this.

Basically, I get my samples and assign them to the pads save it etc.

But when you open specific Programs Ive noticed that the Basses, or Electric piano from the sounds that came with the unit come with only ONE sample, with ONE program. You load that program and the 2500 spreads the same sample over the entire Pad range, creating a 'keyboard' type affair.

Does anyone know how to do this? Is it something to do with the 16 levels button by any chance?

Anyone shed some light on this please? Cheers

it's a chromatic program that you loaded.

meaning the sample is spread out across the pads and are tuned across like a keyboard.
