Top Combinations with ur MPC?

The title is kinda self-explanatory, my bad if theres already a post on this.

I use the Roland Xp-80 with mine and trap it on the Roland VS-1680 Digital Recorder I have sold the trusty Roland Vs 880 V-Xpanded

my man, sorry for the lack of knowledge but what is the roland and what does it do in connection with the mpc?

mpc, my computer and cubase Sx with a million plug-ins

Roland Vs 880 VXpanded is an 8 track digital recorder.......Roland Vs1680 is a 16 track digital recorder.......

i use protools to edit loops and do a quick transfer of these using mpc pgm maker on my mac (a virtual mpc, allowing you to click and drag audio files staight onto virtual pads, the craeting pgm files for mpc). much faster.

i use the asr 10 for sampling and the mpc for sequencing. only been using this setup for a couple weeks and dont realy know how to use it yet but so far it is ill. oh and i got soundforge for recording

mpc60 with motif es7 (replacing asr10) and protools on my G4

MPC 2000XL, along with my Triton LE and my Tech 1200s are the heart of my studio. I use Recycle to chop/timestretch and Audition to edit waveforms and add effects and drop everything into Sonar to mixdown the final product and master it on T-Racks.

I dont really understand all these terms. I need some clarification

When you say that you use the ASR-10 for sampling and the MPC for sequencing?


I use the ASR-10 for my samples and I snyc that to my MPC2000xl for drums.

Is this what you mean when you using the MPC for sequencing?

i just started using this setup but it really depends on how i feel. i do what u do sometimes, but other times i just put everything on my asr and just make beats on the keys while recording them on the mpc. then i sequence my tracks on the mpc. and that is what i mean when i say sample with asr and sequence with mpc . pretty self explanatory

I got an old Gemini XLDD50 mkII turntable to sample off of, a Numark mixer to eq it and give it a clean signal to my sampler, and my MPC2000 (not XL) with a zip250 and CD Rom... and VINYL.

I sequence with my MPC 60 and use my ASR-X Pro for sampling. I just got the ASR-10 and threw some drums and samples through it and I noticed a difference right off the bat from my ASR-X Pro and MPC. Myself, I'm working on sequencing from the 60 to the ASR-10, but I'll have to keep my Pro, cause the resampling is easy as hell and the sound is just as good as the 10, not better though. I use the 60 for drums sometimes, but just downsample on my ASr-X pro for grimmy beats. At this point, a 2000 or XL would be over kill.
