I've seen in a few threads where people say they are not that hot but I also seen where people say that there beats that they made on a mpc 2000xl sounded better coming out the mpc 2500. they probably had the factory master e.q. and compressor settings from the demo songs still set to on, so to me, from my time on the 2500, I think they are straight for what you would want to do with them. i mean it's all in the musicians "ear". some people hear something in there head and can't make what they hear in there heads come out of there equiptment so they blame the equipment for being faulty or some excuse when it's really their lack of skill in programming, miximg and editing.
