Can someone tell me how to check the memory of your MPC during start-up? I forgot and tried searching but it resulted in over 60 pages of threads. I think for some reason my sample might be way too large so I wanna check the size of my sample and how much memory my MPC has.

sorry thanks

Mode > 5 (I think) to go to the trim page and then press window somewhere on that page and it shows how much memory is used and how much free.

If youre having the machine load up the pre-packed samples it comes with from the internal memory when it loads then quit that and youll have twice as much room.

if you didn't upgrade the RAM you have to realize that the mpc came with "16MB" of RAM but you do not have access to all 16mb. 11mb is used for the pre installed pgms/seqs/songs. so out the box, you are only working with 5mb of RAM. this is why everyone stresses that you (or anyone) upgrade the RAM as soon as possible.
