How Can I Sample Movie Sound Clips???

I wanna put some words from my favorite movies on a track, what u hook the t.v. up to the sampler, work with me i'm a new guy.

what kind of outputs do you have on your tv? rca maybe? check that first and tell us....

so first off where would the rca outputs be, you mean the video output?? it I have it, that means I can sample movie sounds?

well, on your tv there may be some rca outputs...when i remember correctly (i maybe wrong though) one of them is a sound output...you could connect that with a rca-to-jack cable to your mpc, and sample...well, thats how i would try it..

nobody u know sampled movie sound clips like that?? Have you?

im not sure but u might need amixer with tape in tape out. (the red and white wries). but it might work stragiht to the mpc. never tried either, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

rca-to-jack cable...or a jack-plug-on for the rca plug ont he cable..(wow, many plugs in one sentence)..
i suppose the tv out is line level, which should be okay for the MPC to sample in..if not, you will indeed need a mixer in between...

On your TV/VCR or whatever your playing the movie through,

Yellow is Video
Red and White are audio.

Use the appropriate adapters/cables to plug the red/white from your TV/VCR outs to your MPC record ins..

I do this all the time with my Xbox and PS2..

Easy..

the above program extracts audio from DVD's

at one point, i had a free audio ripper program that did the same thing
with MPEG

there may be a freeware on the market by now

My PC came with a lil SoundBlaster creative recorder and while my DVD is playing, I just hit record whenever somethin coo comes up. Peace
