Hardware Interface that best utilizes the 8 outputs

See if you have a jack on your laptop that looks like this. If so, then you are good, if not, then you need to purchase a firewire card. Take your laptop to Ciruit City or a computer shop and tell them you want firewire capabilities. Or even better, if you have warranty left on your computer, call the manufactuer and they can provide you with a firewire card that will work for your laptop.

THat looks like the usb port. thats different?

I just read the box and it says it has 1 firewire port

USB is a rectangle, Firewire is shaped like a sideways house(like the one in the picture)

Im getting at the Project Pak joint. The DSP Card that it comes with has its own processor, so it takes the load off your computer allowing you to run plugin after plugin on each track with out your CPU blowing the fukk up.


UAD is reasonable in price in comparison to the Waves Bundles. Sound Quality is better in my opinion as well.

The MOTU 2408 is a very good, versatle unit.

The MOTU has:

8 analogue inputs
8 analogue outputs
24 channels of TDIF I/O (Tascam Digital Interface)
24 channels of optical I/O (Adat Digital Interface)

It's Very Flexible

The Motu will work with the majority of software (Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, Acid, Wavelab, etc)

The digital converters are very good.
