Connecting MPC 2000xl to PC???

NEWBIE ISSUE! (Excuse my lack of knowledge of PCs and MPCs): I have a SCSI zip drive and have just found out that I need a SCSI card in my PC to link it up. I was going to save files from my PC to the zip drive and then load onto the MPC, but I guess I may aswell go straight from PC to MPC if I get the SCSI card (? If this is even possible?). HOWEVER, I'm now thinking about getting a seperate harddrive (my PC is only 20gb).

Does anyone have any suggestions, for instance:

1. Did those of you using a harddrive with your MPC have a SCSI card come with it or did you have to but it seperately?

2. What is the best way of me using my MPC (without floppys!) bearing in mind I have a PC, a SCSI zip drive (and cable) and am willing to buy a seperate hardrive?

I have a parallel port cable and SCSI adaptor

Q: is it possible to attach an MPC 2000xl to the parallel port of a PC with a SCSI card installed?

ALSO

If I buy a seperate SCSI harddrive I will want to hook it up to my PC to load samples onto it...WIll it be possible to do this i.e. does a SCSI harddrive have the capability of being hooked up to a parallel port on a PC at the same time as a SCSI device (i.e. MPC 2000xl)?

Can anyone suggest the best way of getting samples into my 2000xl (bearing in mind I already have a SCSI zip drive, but no SCSI card in my PC)?
