Not Playing All of Sample

I am working on a song and I have specific tracks that are not playing all of the sample. For example track 15 play's the entire sample, but when I "mode-seq edit" and copy the exact track to track 19 it only plays about a 1/4 bar of the sample and stops. I tried copying this from 15 because I first noticed it would not play completly on track 19 and figured I could trick it by copying from 15 to 19.

It looks like I might have accidentially messed up some settings, but I've tried to record that sample in all of my tracks and most of them cut off but some tracks are cutting off after playing half a bar instead of a 1/4th, as in track 19.

One other thing.. These tracks that are only playing the begining of the sample are doing it to every sample in every program. Although other tracks are fine.

Does anyone have a clue what's going on?

polyphony limit reached maybe. stereo samples take up two voices. 32 voices in total.

this probably doesn't answer your question, but it will bypass the problem.

if you use mono samples and chop your phrases note by note and make em a new program, you have a LOT more control over your sample and the phrase you want to play. i suggest chopping small, and mono.

Thanks, that was my problem! to do a quick check I track muted my drums and it played fine, so if i mono them then it should be solved. I just sat down for about 10 minutes of editing and ended up freakin out over an hour trying to troubleshoot this problem. thanks again guys

no problem. i was bummed at first when i got my mpc and was like what? no stereo drum samples? then i realized there really was no point in stereo oneshots that repeat frequently - ie hats, kicks, rides, percussion, snares, etc. if i ever use stereo samples now, it's for cyms and stuff that is real brief.
