Quick one: How do you tell how many samples you have loaded at one time, out of the 256 max?

The first one that comes to mind is only accurate prior to assigning the samples to a program/pad(s). And that's to use the purge function. It tells you accurately how many samples are not in programs. the down side is it doesn't tell which ones they are.

I wonder if there is a way to tell, yo Blaz, I know what you are talking about. I wonder if MPC3000 has insight on this?

Go to the secret screen in the XL by SHIFT+TRIM and then SHIFT+F1. `snds:` will indicate the number of loaded samples.

"i never new about that screen "

I read about it at mpc2000xl.com. That info has been at that site for at least couple of years.
