saving on the mpc 4000

I have had the mpc 4000 for 3 months now and I havn't gotten the chance to dig in to it yet due to the fact that I'm using other equipment that I'm more familiar with (yamaha rs7000,triton). Years ago I owned a mpc2000xl and alot of the operating tactics are the same. The problem I'm having now is the same problem i had years ago. when I save a sequence it dosn't save the programs. I need to know how to save my work so that when I load it back up it loads everything that the sequence needs to play so I don't have to take notes of what program I had on each track and load them all seperatly. When i get past this It will be smooth sailing. Thanks in advance for any help.

the manual works!

press save! create a new folder ... somewhere! on top of the save page you select what you gonna save sequences, programs, samples, etc. scroll with the cursor! choose save entire memory and select the created folder! thats it!

thanks alot altopiano. i tried that before but I had a lot of programs in the memory so it saved a lot of programs twice that I already had. but im going to try It out with out all the extra programs loaded. I don't know how to get rid of the extra programs I am not using. thanks again for your help alto. and icebergslim thanks for your smart remark. you should change your name cause you are not representing it right P.I.M.P. wonna be.

jd, you have to click on each program and save them individually. Dont do a bulk save takes alittle depending on hw many you have to save

Thanks I figured it out so far . I just save a multi and it will save all the programs in the right places and then i save a sequence. and i name them so that i know there together.this will work for now but I need to take it a step further and figure out how to organize the folders

Funny thing last night around 1:30 AM (only time I get to work in peace) I forgot how to save to my folder after I ceated it. Then it hit me -----create folder ---highlight over folder using curser----then press right curser button and the folder opens up ----now tiy can save and load just from this folder.

that sounds like what i need to do . the one thing I havn't tried yet. thanks
