New MPC user needs help !!!!!

Just bought MPC 2500 and I need some help : I know it's a very basic thing but I just can't find out how to adapt the tempo of a sample (a long one) to the rythme of a beat or of a sequence. I can sample, trim the sample, then I tried to deal with the Patched Phrase option but it didn't work. I would like to be able to put the sample in any track, whatever the bpm is, and to automatically have the tempos matching when hitting the pad once at the right time. Where can I find this part in the manual ? Please ask any question if it is not clear !!! Juice. Paris, France

I'm new to the MPC range as well.


I think that the tempo detection depends on the amount of bars the loop is over. Does that make any sense sensei?
