Operating system for the 2000xl

looking to download a better OS for 2000xl. using the one installed upon purchase ( version :may 15 2001) at the moment and having a few problems. somebody give me a tip where to download from?

And pick the 1.14 NOT THE 1.20 unless you have an internal cardreader installed.

I thought 1.14 worked well with a cardreader?

It does for certain card readers but not all.

1.14 works fine with all cardreaders, v1.20 offers the abilty to read partitions of 1Gb on cf cards, whereas v1.14 needs to partition 1Gb card into 2 partitions of 512 MB.

Is there any reason to partition the card?

How do you load OS 1.20 after you save it to your computer? Do you save it to one of the cards and load it via the cardreader? Prolly a dumb question but hey...

Yep. Save the .bin file to a CF card and insert into card reader. Voila!
