i've heard alot of horror stories about ordering from zipzoomfly.

new mpc

this is my 1st post but i have been reading these post now for abt 5months.....this is my 1st post because i am now and official mpc owner .. instead of a spectator ....this machine is awesome.. have upgraded from an sp -606...i know all of that previous ish was.. not related to the topic... but this is the reason for the post.. i have ordered my hdm 10kit... and hard drive ...other than the installation is there any orther set up that need sto be done once the hard drive is installed

upgrade your RAM. max it out. read the other sticky for info on that.

sparq sorry for not being specific .. about ?...also ment to mention that i have also order my memory .... but my ? ws specificall abt the hard drive... as far as do i have to format . the drive for it to be recognized...... and i have already upgraded the os to 2.01

no problem. but to answer your specific question... yes you will have to format your drive the same way you formatted your CF card.

thanks ..i bought it used from a friend .. so it was already formatted but i'm sure that i could at least figure it out or hopefully find some post from prev posts....

format it by going to either load/save screen the press "utilit"
