i have now sold my 1k and ordered a 2500, should get it tomorow or monday, looking forward to bangin out some beats on those nice BIG pads!
any hints and tips i should now about with this model? or will it be very simillar to my 1k?
have already purchased the 128ram for it.

if you've used os version 2.1 for the 1k, you will feel right at home with the 2.5k. you just have to learn the little extras that it has. get a jumpstart on it and download the manual from akai's website.

Welcome to the darkside!

Yeah...you will not have any problems on the 2500 once you learn the little extras.
