the built in preamp cords dont fit in the mpc 1000 but my dad has these cords that fit the mpc 1000 *sorry i dont know the name*

and i just got the turntable today and didnt get a mixer

*thought i could plug the headphones in...guess i gotta go back to the store nextime i got a day off*

anyways do i still buy a preamp and plug the rca cables into the preamp and plug the cables from the preamp into the mpc 1000?

or can i plug the mixer from the turntable into the 1000

Yeah but what he was asking about, is how do you fit the rca cables from the turntable into the mpc jack inputs.

Answer: you'll need a rca-to-jack converter (1/4" jack)

Don't do that, use analog cables. The AD converter of the st8-80 sucks richard

aiight homie...at my school library they use stanton tr-08 i think thats what they are called..any ways...all u need a a rca (red and white) to 1/4''....plug the rca into the tables...and plug the 1/4" into ur MPC...and wollla...go to record and select analog, and u should have sound...should work man, because this table is a lower model than the one u got...

The Str-80 has a little switch under the platter that allows you to send a line level signal from the rca outs, thus enaling you to connect it directly to the audio inputs of your mpc-1000 without the need of a dj mixer.

Go and buy a spidf cable at guitar center and connect it from the back of the turntable where it says digital output to the digital in of the mpc. simple as that. no mixer needed at all

my bad Mega,
i just had an extra rca around the crib and it was yellow...anyway just plug one end into the back of the str8-80 and the other end ti the mpc digital in..when you're in record mode scroll the data wheel until it says digital and you're good...OR..do like pt3r said and swith to line level under the platter on the turntable ,get some 1/4" adapters and plug into the mpc record ins...either way you dont need a mixer!

BTW pt3r, I owned this deck for like a year and never even knew that about the str8-80...i just tossed my manual in the box and stored it...damn good look fam!
