Transplanting a Zip Drive from A G3 Mac into an XL?

Is it possible to transplant an internal Zip Drive from a G3 Mac into an 2000XL?

I've already got a couple of external Zip drives and a SCSI hard drive, but It's just more crap to plug-in everytime I set up.

Has anyone done this before?

Yo Glasses... what kind of connector is on the Zip drive itself? IDE or SCSI? Both will work but you got to change the power plug to the Zip drive.

The mac is a beige G3 desktop, which is a SCSI-based machine....so I'm assuming the internal ZIP is SCSI?

Open it up and find out. It shoud work with your MPC though.
