i feel like a idiot for asking this but i just got a mpc1000BK i have my midi out from the controller to the mpc's midi in,and my midi out from the mpc to the midi IN of my e-mu Proteus X.

for some reason i can trigger my proteus sounds from the mpc1000 pads but not using the keys on the controller .

i had almost every mpc out and this the first time i had this problem i feel retarded askign but what setting is needed in the midi/sync menu?

i feel dumb coming from a mpc4000 asking how do i set up my midi controller to trigger thru midi lmoa i feel 13 again

its the midi THRU settings::

active receive ch. = ALL or the one your keyb is sending on

soft thru = omni or 'as track' depending on how you want to work things.
i recommend 'as track'... then on the mpc main page set the track midi out channel to where you want the midi to get sent.

sorry bout the wording feeling lazy :)
