Then you have probably set output of some or all pads to the individual outs. Check it in Mixer Mode, the Trim Mode always sends to the main outs I think.

Stilo.

do you have the samples assigned to a program and is that program selected in the main window?

I dont have any samples assigned. Anotherwords, when i turn the mpc on the mpc is set to the default setting and samples that originally came with it. Since i bought the mpc, its played through my moniters perfectly all around until now...Now i turn on the mpc and all the same default samples are there but when i hit any pad in any bank they wont play out through my monitors only the trim window will play sound. Thanks for everyones time, any help is a lot of help to me. Thanks

Do you definately have Samples assigned to the Pads? Seems strange that it was working and now is not....

If you open Program Mode and then hit a Pad, is there a Sample assigned to a Pad?

Perhaps you could start the MPC without any Sounds and Programs / Sequences / Projects etc.
Then try creating a new Program from scratch - you could have accidently changed a major setting and then saved it perhaps?

what it sounds like is some how you have the local off setting turned on. you have to turn that off by going to the MIDI/SYNC page then select [F1] (MIDI) key. then select the “Pad to internal sound” field and use the data wheel to select “ON”.

let me know if that worked.

You might also not be hitting the pad hard enough. Turn on the Full Level button before hitting the pads.

hey thanks for all the help. It wasnt the pads or the mixer configuration. It was unusually the midi/sync mode. I wasnt even using midi but for some reason the internal sounds werent "on" in midi sync mode. But thanks anyway.

i knew that was the case. it happened to me once and i kind of freaked out. but i did turn that off and forgot i did it. when i turned off the mpc for the night, i came back to it 2 days later and freaked. i didn't know what was going on. i started checking my interface and everything until i remembered (2 hours and a migrane later) that i turned off the internal sounds.

i'm glad you got it working again.
