Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

sorry if this is a simple one. but someone told me you can do this and I dont know how.

Lets say i have 4 loops and they are all 4 counts. how do i make it to where when i hit a sample, it plays until i hit another one then it cuts off. so if i hit each one of the 4 loops every quarter note it would just sound like the first hit of each loop instead of overlapping and sound like hell

thanks in advance

Do a search on "sample cut off" or "Voice overlap". Or read the XL manual page 126.

It's funny how when I first started visiting this site I thought the "search" and "manual reference" replies were jerky. Now I understand. Same question different day.

in your program/parameters, move curser to note (poly, mono) hit window. Now you can assign which pad cuts off the pad you are editing
