Bulk loading from BlueBox?

Sparq's or anybody . There's nothing clear on how to load all the samples back in the program of bluebox,only some load up correctly. I have to go to bulk sample load and then load one at a time. what's going on.

PS. what steps should I take. 1. create folder,then after inserting samples,hit save all, or create program first.....any help thanks

can u erase all the samples and sequences in the mpc flash rom i want to turn it on and have a empty mpc?

You can go to Autoload right now and turn it off,then turn it on and it want load to internal memory.

Mode: Load

Load from : memory card

^

Hit lighted Window- Load setup

Autoload:OFF
then Close
turn MPC off then on. And there you go.

naw serious, anybody using bluebox? how are you saving and loading in bluebox. I know how to save the program part,but when I go to load samples up not all load correctly, what i'm i doing?

when creating a program in blue box, you have to create a new (blank) folder. then load up your samples into bluebox and when you're ready to save, you have to select "save all" from the file menu then point it to the new (blank) folder that you just created. that way, all of your samples and pgm file are put into the same folder (where it needs to be)

here is the problem i am having....and maybe it is elementary...but here we go..... i have made a kit in the BLUEBOX......then when i try to save it to my hard drive i get some error saying wrong name or something like that......so what is the problem ... can someone help me here

Try saving your PGM files from BlueBox with a filename (excluding the .PGM extension) no longer than 16 characters. I think the problem you're having would show up if your PGM filenames are too long.

Try saving with a shorter name and post how that works out.

i tried all of that and this is what it tells me

Cannot copy file: The file name you specified is not valid or too long. Specify a different file name.

i have changed the name and then some and i still get this error message....will someone please help me

When saving samples and programs for the MPC1000, make sure that the filenames aren't longer than 16 characters. The MPC can't reliably use files with names longer than that.

Make sure both the sample filenames and the programs you save are not too long. I'm not sure if this is what's causing all the random problems with BlueBox and samples/programs not properly loading up in the MPC, but so far it's my best guess.
