Record CC-Data like Cutoff and stuff?

Hey MPC-Heads, once again alittle question from me.
I still haven´t got a MPC2500. But I´d like to, of course.BlaBla
But now to my question:
I´d like to sequence my synthesizers with a 2500 instead of my annoying noisy computer, no problem so far. But as I produce more electronic stuff, I really have to know, if it´s possible to record CC-Data(so not only the notes) for example like Filtersweeps(Cutoff and Resonance) into the seq. of the MPC and afterwards playing it back just like recorded and if so whether you can edit this or not?

Yes should be able to use qlink settings in qlink page.

as your picture looks like, you´ve got the 4000 with a much more comfortable editor for those things and this lovely ADAT-Option .

as for ya statement in the end:
Oh yes man, I have to say I`m an equipment-junky for sure, ask my girlfriend(she wants to go on a holiday,ya know...). but for the MPC I have to say, that I owend a 2000XL some years ago and sold it in order to buy a laptop for making music. But I realized when u do sampling with a computer it´s not organic to me it´s just drag & dropping, so clinical,
I can´t even concentrate on the sample to make the best out of it, sure u can put FX on it, and afterwards put FX on that but in the end, where is the **** sample that inspired me. Hardware sampling is more fun an more organic to me.

So truth every though I got live and all that without the right controller and the right parameter settings for velocity, expressions, and overall controllors I find it difficult to find the same expressions and feels as hardware. Maybe its the pads.

But by working with the basics it can be done.

the 1000 itself cant send cc data...but used in conjunction with a radium49 or mpd, it can. i thought that was the case with the 2500?

You CAN enter MIDI CC events (and a lot more) in the step editor manually. I think you cannot control external devices with the q-links unfortunately - I wondered about that question myself a while ago.

And as far as I understand the manual, MIDI events from an external controller attached to the MIDI Ins are just piped through the MPC and recorded in its sequencer as well.

You can record cc events from an external device. Just tweak the control while recording. I used to prefer doing things like filter sweeps by recording just those changes to one track while having the notes on another. You can always merge them in edit mode.

But you have to be careful. If you have record on and forget to turn it off while tweaking a patch you'll record all of that. You might not like that extra release in the third bar!

The MPC is an extensive midi sequencer. You can record all midi data on it. Hence Midi Production Center.
I don't know about tempo changes...

With my Alesis Micron synth all events I have recorded so far recorded to my MPC and were available for edit in sequence edit mode.

i use tempo changes inside the mpc, and oh MAN it is nice, i seriously love that tool. you can completely animate your mix beyond just digital solid state tempo...hard to emulate live, but i love the sound.

I think the thing with the Q-Links not sending MidiCC isn´t a big proplem,when u can tweak da knobs on the synth while recording into the MPC,although the German AKAIwebpage says that they generate Midi-Data, so it will be possible maybe with an update.But for me the most important thing to implement with the next update is the autochromatic sampling function,please AKAI!

You're not the first to be confused by that. It only refers to the MPC's internal MIDI events...doesn't mean it transmits them through the outs as well

no doubt its a feature the mpcs 'should' have...

it's like::
"we built a fancy hardware midi sequencer... and its got these nice knobs and sliders..... what, send midi? nah they don't send midi.... "

Correction the 4k qlinks sends out cc no problem but as of yet is has not been impedimented in the 2500 though you can input it through step edit according to the manual. Sorry not quite like the 4000. Probably have to wait until an update to the O.S.
