Well, i've been making beats here n there for about a year now, and i want to get a little more technical with it. I seen alot of people with MPC's, Tritons, 16's, and turntables.

Well my question is:

"What do i need to start making beats with an MPC?"

I know that this is one of the most newb questions out there, but i need suggestions.

Like I know the heart of it all is the MPC and that the Triton or is one of many ways of providing samples alongside the turntables and a crate full of vinyl records, but I want to know what else i would need to start making beats on an MPC.

I already have a very good computer with a high quality soundcard, but i want to know what else i would need.

Thank you for your posts.

an mpc, sounds, speakers, patience, talent, creativity!

but if you have more then one piece of gear, you'll probably need a mixer so you can hear everything at once

breeze no one is gonna answer that for you and if they do, they're cool as hell. that question is too general. there's tons of mixers out there. you need to figure out what you need. how many channels do you need. what kinda money you workin wit? anyone can throw a mixer out there at you!

what gear do you have now, breeze??

man dont trip at gettin laughed at. of course you have questions. they will get answered if they're questions you really should ask. but if they are questions that can be figured out yourself, then folks wont answer. this question is too general imo.

if you're only workin with just an mpc then you probably wont need a mixer. you can make a beat with the mpc some sounds and some speakers. but when you start adding more gear into your setup, then you'll need a mixer so you can hear everything all at once. i posted some links. visit those sites and go thru the gear. read up about what this stuff does for you.
