Heres how I save... but I dont do much with the effects and stuff. Maybe someone can contribute that info... Id be curious to know the best way. I just could never understand how the ALL save works... i dont need multiple copies of all the samples in the programs. Thanks.
OK, so...
I finish my beat. Name the Sequence, and the tracks. Then I make sure to rename the programs I used in this Sequence. If the drum program is called "Drum Kit 1" and the Sequence is called "BEAT420" then the new program name is going to be "DRMKIT1 BEAT420". But thats just what I do to stay organized. I also save the program without the samples... When I load the Sequence up, I load the "DRUM KIT 1" first, and then the newly named program only file.
So once everything is labeled, and ready to go, I make a new folder. MODE - SAVE, and then find where you want to put this new Beat. Make a new folder right there and name is the Sequence name. Then you want to SAVE the SEQ, then the new program(s) (without samples), and then your all set. Just make sure it all goes in its own folder. Whenever you make edits to your beat, you need to "REPLACE" any files you edited by saving them over the old files.
I notice that when you save the SEQ and then the PROGRAMS... when you go back to the MAIN page, the current track selected will have whatever PROGRAM you saved selected. You need to make sure each PROGRAM on the tracks are correct. but thats just a stupid bug in the system still... any thoughts anyone?
Also, please let me know if there is an easier way than mine. Thanks everyone -Jesse
