Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

theres an mpc 2000 at a pawn shop but the screen is broken, i wanna make sure thats the only thing wrong with it so i'm gonna make a program and put it on a floppy

can somone tell me the buttons and the order i would press them in to load the program please????

oh wow, I'm sorry but that's alot to ask. I can only ask that you download the manual, print it out someway and take it with you.

or just download the pages you need, take those with you..

do the 2000xl and 2000 share the same manual????


if not can somone link me to the 2000 manual please, cause i went on akaipo and the 2000xl is the only one they have posted

The manual for the 2000 and the 2000Xl have some differences but the basics are pretty much the same...

if my memory servers me right push and hold shift and the 3 button to load from floppies, Zip, Companct flash, etc....but it might be hard to do anything from there if you can't see the screen....at any rate I hope everything works out....make sure they take off a lot of money for the broken screen......

yeah, it powers up, i checked all the buttons, it seems to be recording, stoping and playing, i checked the full level button as well as the button to change the pad banks, the all seem to be working correctly.

i'mma go back tommorow and try to get the program to load so i can check the pads, and mabey try to record a little sequence

I got an XL. Wouldnt it be a .APS prorgam? .ALL dont contain sounds
