I tried that with a recent purchase. I even got it past the credit card bill. In fact, after a while I just left it out in the project studio. She looked at it maybe 10x. The 11th time she waited till I forgot about it and brought it up!!! Too funny!

The trick is to say that you plan on paying for it by selling some of the other stuff that you have... works for me...
