Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

miss and reminisce?

i doubt it... because its not going anywhere. theres tens of thousands of MPCs around the world, not like its hard to get a hold of like TR-909s or something.

also id love 24/96 but i agree, the mpc4k is far too big. also im put off by the fan vents on the top. the sucker sounds like a computer (because it basically is) and a few other little complaints.

im happy with my MPC2000XL's though, although i DO wish they had Balanced outputs. No big problem in the end, nothing good preamps cant fix.

prospect wrote:Man... I love my MPC2kxl to death, but its shortcomings could easily be fixed up by the rumored 2500. I need a way to interface my MPC with the computer to make file transfer a heck of a lot easier/faster. The MPC1000 doesn't attract me, only that whole USB thing.

Hurry up Akai, I'll sit and wait. I have a lovely 2kxl to keep me busy until then...
I'd ratrher just have some new OS that includes the recording of track mutes, a better efx card and an extra day in the week to get busy with it.

They need to get with it and be in the now like they once were or they are going to get left behind. I could go on and on about this talking all the angles but I shouldn't.
This is my basic hope on another thread:

Go there if you are interested in getting this cool company to give something fresh not old, ie MPC1000 aka The Emperors New Clothes
of the HUNDREDS of oldies that I listen to on a regular basis, all this bit talk is overrated.
