sample time, is the big difference with the memory upgrade.
if you get the 128 upgrade you can sample almost a half hour of sounds,
or you can resample your songs into the memory, which can then be transfered to your computer to burn to cd.

Half Hour? I dont know about all that. I had the 16mb for hella long time and its easily possible to make a dope beat just be wise with the samples you load up.

you can make wicked beats on an EPS classic with 1MB of ram... but having the option to sample more and being able to resample an entire song inside the mpc is pretty damn nice.
with the 128 MB's you can make your basic 4 bar beat, go into record mode and while listening to your beat, you can record a bunch of full 4 bar samples of synth lines, instruments, voices or whatever to layer over the beat... for live, unsequenced, overdubbed sounds it's awesome.

Thx for the replies, so basically having more RAM just gives you more sampling time? No other effects like slower processing as if a PC?

16mb is alright, but the 128 gives you freedom man, no change in power or anythin, just gives u a lot more space to hold samples in memory.
