MPC 1000 Sampling abilities,

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum so hello to all...
My question is this: Can the MPC1000 sample the main inputs
while the sequencer is playing? I.E. I want to play a midi sequence
to my Juno 106 and sample the bassline coming out of it.

My MPC 2000 (had to sell it when the fall semester started)
could *not* do that, but I am really hoping my mpc1k that I am
picking up tommorrow will.

Scott, not really sure if you can, I hear on the forum that you can for lack of a better word "re-sample" on the MPC 1K so this may-be a possibility.

I think that it would be better for you to sample the bass line into something like sound forge. You will have more control over the sample, and much more easy on the eyes.

just wondering , why would you want to sample that synth when you have the orig in-front of you? The bass will be much bigger if you run it through a board with external efx.

Hey thanks for the reply, I would want to for a couple reasons:
1. so i can free up the juno for other sounds, it's old and plays one voice at a time.

2. also I can load up the mpc with beats and some original bass loops, then go to my boy's house and jam without having to bring that heavy ass juno with me.

right on, yea, I would say go for a wav editor and record to the PC the loop with out drums.

then you would have more fun with the sample.

On the MPC1000, in the recording window change the mode from Analog to Main out, and you'll be able to sample while the sequencer is running

I asked the same question some time ago, here's the thread. One of the veterans on this fourm replied that it *is* possible. Provided he understood the question in full of course. I think he did.

You can sample while the sequencer is running. I do it all the time with my guitar and bass guitar

Wow I have been wanting to do that for a while now. Kick the beat and lay down the bass. Was this possible on the 2000xl?
