yeah but disclaiming all his samples as a thread?

back inthe days it was sercetive to have your sh!t and you cover the label if you were a dj , things just got outta hand with all this new gear and sampling and pc sh!t u kno?

it's onw thing to go on a forum and ask for help to find a certian sample if your diggin for a record but to come on and post this dude took this sample from here ,here and here. i dont think thats cool....plus i think dude is prolly trippin cause it makes it easrie for the sample police to bust and crack down on samplin cause of all the lil-SNITCHES!!!

whats going to happen to samplin then.
samplin is an artform just as diggin is it's not something you just pick up over night, it takes time.....i got 30years in the art of diggin and it aint easy newjacks got to out work in not have it handed to them.

i hear ya. i just think he being hypocritical. he talkin bout people need to pay they dues and show respect. if he got so much respect for the game, he should take his own advice by paying his dues, showing his respect, and get his shit cleared. e.d.e., you of all peeps know where i comin from, i think it just as important, if not more to "pay dues" and "show respect" to the cats i got real respect for, the original artists.

what do you expect from a forum called 'Crate Diggers'? its not why i come here, but its bound to happen.

anyways, not sure why he's so mad...but i've never released an album, nor do i have my own internet forums.

but if he's mad because he didn't clear the samples, then hes only got himself to blame (as previously stated)...im sure there are artists/labels out there that make it real hard, or impossible to clear a sample, but if he thought he could sneak it by. again, don't release the album for mass consumption and host an open forum online for your fanboys.

and, if he's mad cause someone just let outta the bag his "production secrets", then he needs to step up his game anyways. cause IMO if you're worried about someone biting your style, then either you didnt originate it, or you didnt flip it well enough to make it your own.

if he's mad about youngns not "payin their dues," this just doesn't make much sense to me. i mean krs said it, "nowadays kids got the video." what do you expect them to do? not watch em? not surf the net? i doubt any new jacks got the nerve to take a well-used sample and try to claim it as their own without acknowledging that someone before him/her pioneered this whole thing...could be wrong, i tend to give people too much credit.

i respect those that came before me, and i also hope that, with the right guidance, those after me will push this sht straight out the cosmos.

so, lastly and logically ( ), im gonna surmise that necro must just be mad that someones actin a fool online.

no necro is not new school. He is 30 - he was in a metal band at like 12 and started doing beats in the late 80s. When started he was grimy and made beats by dubbing a cassette tape and stopping it then record it again to to loop it. He had nas' "one love" looped before him. Who cares about clearing samples that is only a legal issue not a respect issue.

he's 30 i got 5 on him.... and i use to do pause loops and mixesin 78-79 was sellin mix pause tapes innthe 80's not hiphop, but funk. started gjin in 80 too,
now you say,
Who cares about clearing samples that is only a legal issue not a respect issue.
your dead wrong man thats a newjack move, if your going to sell ypur music to the masses and go legit then yes you should clear your samples , that is a respect thing you clear it out of respect to the artist your stealin it from ,you pay your due to them. the least you can do is give the props to the artist you used in your liner note for givin you the inspiration to do what you did with his piece of music,

now i'm not no where near as big as this dude but i can see his point in people give up the samples , if he's not a new jack then he's tellin you right there how it was back in the days,dj's where alwaysfighting to be the one to bust out a new joint and hide it so not everyone would have it, i give em props for keepin it real , not to many can claim to do that.

Yo d.d. you right on that fact, but what I was trying to say is it gets to the the point it seems that a lot of cats would rather post up every sample that they're hero ever used than talk about new music they discovered or about records they're looking for. If I came off like an a$$hole, my baaaaddddd!
