Trying some different ish... Rock, Heavy Metal...

Can anyone recommend some stuff to dig up? Artists and/or albums.

I remember Busta Rhymes was on a track with Ozzy Osbourne, you could look for some stuff by his band, Black Sabbath

Be sure to have a look at Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull as well...

Be sure to have Tool and Dream Theater.

Rock has many subgenres. It really depends on what sound you want.
To me the stoned psychy sound is the illest and you wont find anything good in that area younger than 74/75 perhaps. That movement started out in the late 60s and has been sampled alot too.

If you more after the brutal guitar ish, just go wild. The kinda crunk/dipsetish sound can be found on every 2nd 80s rock record. Not really my kinda stuff though...

cmon now .. be a bit more obscure please.. These are almost pop bands with cheering girls as fans. The problem though is that most rock music is known and still popular, so youll not find much obscure vinyl in the rock category.

man there is plentyy of obscure rock and psychedelic rock on vinyl. lots of rare gems from the late 60s early 70s. lol @ bon jovi. its like any other genre of music, you gotta dig for the good stuff. you wont find anything but ELO and that garbage in the bargain bin

What kind of sounds do you want ? I know a good deal bout' 70's rock. I'm not just handing names....Groovie....Hard .....Funky ...Psych...expeirimental.... sounds What cha want ?

check on that crzy sheet. I've been into Mahavishnu orchestra and related, like billy cobham, chick corea (jazzier), john mcglauclan, those dudes get out there and it's mostly instrumental on the psychedelic side.
