I know a bunch of dudes that use nothing but Fruity Loops and a MIDI controller and will shut down a many of dudes with Protools, TDM and all that shyt! Real Talk.

I just realized something that's funny to me. A lot of y'all got thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of equipment in your studios, but you're still rockin those 100lb CRT computer monitors!

Thay sh!t will fukk up whatever it decides to fall on. Flat panel monitors start at like $125, do yourselves a favor and pick one up.

yeah but they're analog, and the flat panels just don't have the warmth.

You may be able to eq by using the line inserts with outboard gear (they have em for each input) but as is, only after. Although depending on your DAW software, you can eq while recording. I'd cop the 1082 if I were you, you see how much space my 1884 takes up. (They hadn't made the other Tascam's when I copped it.)

i was originally thinking of copping the soundcraft m12 and a simple 8-in interface and doing my eq'ing prior to recording... i've never used such a set-up but i can imagine likeing it

the prob is the 1082 for $599 brand new seems like such a good deal for an 8-in interface / control surface that its making it very hard for me to decide...

i just think i would prefer to have the ability to eq my chit before/during the recording process... i know that this method also has some disadvantages too....

haha very good point man , just that green eyed monster takin over and makin me feel little lol , fitted ma 100gig in ma 2500 today , in teh process of importing samples etc.. from the comp , so ill see what i can do ,
