updating mpc os trouble!

hey i just got my mpc 1000 today, and i might have F'd up. i put the new os on the flashcard, restarted it and installed it, but when it rebooted itself, the screen is blank! it's lit up, but nothing on it. no sounds play from pads and when i press play, i get a buzz. Also, i didnt back up anything on the mpc, so did i loose the stuff stored in it already?? I didnt delete the stuff from the cf card. Please help!

all is not lost. just do the following:

hold the erase button while you turn it off and back on. that resets the mpc.

thanks alot! it worked. But now i got a couple small questions (i just want to say the search function on this fourm sucks, i stumbled across good threads with it, but never answered my questions)...

I need more ram obviously, but what is the absolute cheapest compatable ram i can get for the 1000?
